It’s a Great Dane’s life, my summer walkabout
The phrase ‘Dog days of summer’ refers to when our Sun is in the same part of the sky as Sirius, the dog star. I like to think it means summers are made for dogs to have fun!
During summer I get to spend more time with my humans as we travel around to hot air balloon events or just hang around in my humans favorite place, Teton Valley, Idaho.
By the numbers
This summer we drove 5810 miles, attended 6 balloon rallies, camped at 3 state parks and 1 National Park. We didn’t do as much camping this year as we have in the past because we had an awesome condo to hang out in while my humans were working for Elevated Ballooning. That meant we did lots of early morning balloon chasing followed by breakfast.
Other highlights
If you haven’t read about my bad encounter with a fence, you can read about it at Oops, I cropped my ear.
I got to watch a Vogue magazine photo shoot in Jackson Hole. I can’t say who they were photographing but the issue will be coming out in October.
Now that our summer walkabout is over and we are back in San Diego I’m getting to catch up with all my friends here. Best of all is getting to go to dog beach!
