Zion National Park
There is only 1 dog friendly trail in Zion National Park. Dogs cannot ride the park shuttle. Be prepared for large crowds much of the year.
Great Dane travel tells our stories of road tripping with our Great Danes. We have had four different Great Danes who have all traveled with us. During our travels, we have explored much of the northwest US as well as parts of Baja California and Canada.
While on the road our Danes get to explore, camp and hike in National and State Parks and Monuments. They also attend hot air balloon rallies around the country.
By sharing our stories I hope to encourage other Great Dane parents to not leave their dogs at home. Take them with you. You both will have richer, fuller lives together.

Horseshoe Bend in Arizona is a pet friendly short hike. It’s 1.5 miles round-trip on sandy terrain and no shade. A parking fee is charged.
Craters of the Moon, Hagerman Fossil Beds and Minidoka are 3, one paw rated parks in southern Idaho. Dogs are not very welcome and there are no pet trails.
