Independence Rock Historic Site
A couple of dog friendly places to stop on the roads between Casper and Lander in Wyoming are Independence and Split Rock Historic Sites.
Great Dane travel tells our stories of road tripping with our Great Danes. We have had four different Great Danes who have all traveled with us. During our travels, we have explored much of the northwest US as well as parts of Baja California and Canada.
While on the road our Danes get to explore, camp and hike in National and State Parks and Monuments. They also attend hot air balloon rallies around the country.
By sharing our stories I hope to encourage other Great Dane parents to not leave their dogs at home. Take them with you. You both will have richer, fuller lives together.

Sinks Canyon State Park has a number of pet friendly hikes including a short walk between the Sinks and the Rise as well as Popo Agie Falls.
A pet friendly area of slickrock, hoodoos and arches which is still in the National Monument to wander around and explore.
Pahreah ghost town and movie set are no longer there but still a great, dog friendly place to explore in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
