Petrified Forest National Park
Petrified Forest National Park is a dog friendly park. All 7 trails and 2 wilderness areas are open for your pets to explore with you. A BARK ranger park.
The BARK ranger program is a pet awareness program set up by the National Park Service. Olympic National Park and Montezuma Castle are the two flagship parks where the program started in 2015. Since its inception, eleven additional parks are now participating in the program.
The program is similar to the junior ranger program. Once you sign your dog up at a participating park you can receive a special BARK ranger dog tag.

Glacier National Park is not pet friendly but is a BARK ranger park. There are frequent wildlife sightings and dogs can upset the natives.
